How to care for your mosaics

My recommendation is to care for your piece as you would for any work of art glass. Handle it carefully and maintain its shimmer and glow by polishing it occasionally with a soft dry cloth.  If you are using a glass cleaner (such as Windex) on the mirrored glass, I recommend you spray the product on your polishing cloth, not on the mirror, to avoid staining the grout between the tiles.

The pieces that are grouted with cement grout are protected with a commercial sealer to protect it from staining, but use reasonable care.   Any spills on your mosaic art should be blotted immediately.   Be sure to reseal your mosaic art at least once a year to continue the protection of your piece ( I use any penetrating grout sealer that you can find at Lowe's or Home Depot).

All wood-based pieces are designed for indoor use and can be cleaned with window cleaner and a sponge.

Flower pots, gazing balls, and other garden art can be used indoors or outdoors - but my rule of thumb is to treat any outdoor mosaic like tomatoes - protect them from the elements!   I put one of my birdbath dishes under the birdbath, to further protect it from the freezing and thawing.
